I’m a student of Japanese looking to improve my language skills by translating manga. I enjoy manga with long, on-going storylines and developed characters, but I also like the occasional one-off as well. I love translating hammy dialog like the Shinsengumi in Ring x Mama.

PAnZuRiEL-

I’m the silent and invisible head of the translation team who does little to no actual work, owing more to bald laziness than to any distracting commitments. Translating is a pain in the arse, but sadly, I can’t just leave it to the unwashed masses. Curse my high standards and part-time elitism!

I have a bachelor’s degree in Japanese and have been into anime most of my life, a mixture of old-school and new-school.  I don’t get a lot of opportunity to practice with others IRL so translating is a good way to keep up my skills.  I prefer stories with some sort of plot, though sex-for-the-sake-of-sex stories can be fun, and I’m always up for a good yuri doujin.  In my personal corner of the net I am also well-respected as a fanfiction author.

So don’t expect much. Anyways I’m your average (well I like to think of myself as above-average, but oh well) CS/math student, spending way too much time reading webcomics and manga, watching anime and generally hanging around reddit and SO.

Preferences: Well a bit lwb once in a while is fine, but still more vanilla (eg keep guro, scatt, etc. away from me). No problem with incest though (think of it, this could lead to awkward situations if my sister ever read this). But then I ended up editing a shounen-ai chapter once (as a favor I want to stress; don’t ask me how that happened exactly), so who knows what’s in the future.

About Me: I was told that I’m supposed to put something in this box.

I’ve done a lot of “shoops” over the years for various sites (most of which cannot be linked, since what has been seen cannot be unseen), and so I jumped at the chance to be an editor for a group whose releases I read to get a laugh.

Um, about me personally, I run an anime convention in Lakeland, Florida.  I’ve helped with the administration and operations of every major convention in Central Florida.  So, it pretty much goes without saying that I’m pretty heavy into the anime and manga culture, and I’m learning japanese (when I can find a chance to pop in Rosetta Stone between my three jobs).  If anyone knows of any classes in the Central Florida area that can be done without undergoing an entire degree, plz plz let me know.  Also, I was going to end this with a winky-face emoticon… but arunin beat me to it, so instead I will use an awesomeface.

About Me: I’m in college for computer security and investigations, and am considering investigating online predators (loli does not equal child pornography in my book) professionally after I graduate next year. I love gaming, anime, and tinkering in various areas of technology, so if I’m not editing or doing homework I’m most likely doing one of the three, unless my friends are in town. Maybe you would like to arrange a game sometime?

When it comes to editing, I’m pretty open with what I will work on.  I generally try to pick content that will challenge me with a new skill and so far I have been having a great time with it. I like content with nice artwork, and a good plot line is always a bonus for me. As for the things that I won’t work on, my list is pretty much the same as Ziggy’s.
