When is the next release coming out?
The answer is unfortunately something you’ve probably heard before: When it’s done. We do this in our spare time, and since it’s a group effort, it relies on several of us having enough free time to work on each release. Sometimes we’re busier than at other times. If you want to keep up with our releases, RSS is a great way to do it. You’ll be notified whenever we make a new post. If you put your mouse over the RSS icon on the site’s sidebar, you’ll see that you can follow the RSS feed through several different readers.
Why are some of your releases censored?
Unfortunately, that’s just the way they make ‘em. The question of what does and doesn’t apply when it comes to Japan’s censorship laws is shrouded in myth and legend, but what usually happens is that particular publishers decide what kind of censorship policy they can get away with. We’re not the Japanese government, so we can’t control this.
Do you guys take requests?
Most likely, no. Our plates are quite full with projects that we’ve picked ourselves, so we’re not accepting requests at present, however it doesn’t hurt to send one of us an email or hit us up on irc with a suggestion. We may really like it and want to do it as well.
Will you do commissions?
At this time, no. It hasn’t been decided on whether or not we’ll start doing commissions, but at this point it’s not a goal of ours. Our biggest reason is that when you do commissions, we’re not in power to decide what the material is. It’s hard to be motivated to do our best when it’s something we dislike or have bad quality overall.
What do donations go towards?
All donations go towards buying physical copies of h-manga or doujinshi that we want to translate and for the life of us – are unable to find via the internet thanks to the wonderful help of Imari from Little White Butterflies. A lot of times our one translator, LD, will follow blogs by mangaka and know when things are going to be released or have been released in Japan for quite a while (years sometimes) and we just cannot find it on the internet.
What Imari is going to do for us is after money is transferred over, he’ll ship the material to Ziggy where she’ll proceed to scan and get the release ready to go. The money will also go towards shipping the material as well.
Are you guys recruiting?
We’ll always look kindly towards more translators since it helps us become more productive. However at this time we are not recruiting editors.
